Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, the Chairman of Prince Holding Group, is in charge of Cambodia's massive large-scale growth. He likes to maintain a low profile, so little is known about him. He has, however, helped to develop Cambodia through donations, gifts, and land investments as a result of his tireless efforts.

2020 was a year of global difficulties due to the outbreak of the Covid-19. Millions of people have died as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic around the world. Cambodia was not immune to the pandemic. During the same time span, a major flood disaster hit Cambodia.

Chen Zhi led efforts to assist the Cambodian government in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and assisting flood victims. Since April, Chen Zhi Cambodia Prince Group has made major contributions to the relief effort. He is said to be the driving force behind these donation campaigns, which include a US$3,000,000 donation to Prime Minister Hun Sen to buy 1 million Covid-19 vaccines.

A related US$3,000,000 donation was also announced by Prince Group in February 2021 to aid in anti-pandemic efforts in Cambodia. Including the original vaccine donation last year, the cumulative donation to fight Covid-19 would have been $6,000,000.

As a result of these contributions, food has been given to 804 families and 234 police officers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. These people have been impacted by the pandemic. Chen Zhi's donation, as part of the ESG strategy, will help the Cambodian government vaccinate at least 80% of the country's nearly 13 million population.

Aside from monetary donations, Chen Zhi and Prince Group invested in the capacity growth of Cambodian people. Cambodia is traditionally known for its handwoven silk and traditional craftsmanship, which dates back to the Khmer Empire. Chen Zhi often expresses his admiration for Cambodia's economic pride. As a result of the pandemic's extreme effect on people's livelihoods, nearly 55,000 labourers have been displaced and are out of jobs.

Chen Zhi tackles skill development gaps by creating the Prince Horology Vocational Training Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to assist Cambodians in learning new watchmaking skills. This would allow Cambodians to not only learn new skills, but also secure better job opportunities.

Chen Zhi's efforts to strengthen Cambodian people's skills would help the country's transition from a developing to a more developed economy. This is also evident in his attempts to abandon conventional farming. These efforts come as agricultural incomes have reportedly been hit by severe weather, resulting in floods and droughts, and have dropped by more than half in the first quarter of 2020.
Even before the 2020 pandemic, farmers in Cambodia faced significant difficulties. Prices for main agricultural commodities such as paddy rice, cassava, and other vegetables plummeted. Soil fertility has also declined. However, the effects of the 2020 pandemic will only worsen farmers' livelihoods.

Chen Zhi established the Ecological Agricultural Plantation to solve these farming issues. The plantation at Prince Manor Resort will be a game changer for Cambodia's agricultural sector. Cambodians will be able to study and apply modern farming techniques. The processes will be supervised by global and local farming experts.

The Prince Manor Resort in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, was established in October 2020 and spans 136,000 square metres as part of eco-tourism efforts to draw tourists. Guests will stay in hotels to see the magnificent scale of creativity used in modern farming techniques used by agricultural experts. For example, the 10,000 square metre plantation employs an intelligent monitoring system that controls temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, sunlight, and other variables 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, the resort has cutting-edge reverse osmosis water filtration and integrated water and fertiliser systems.
The plantation will be used as an interactive tool for visiting students, relatives, and other stakeholders. Chen Zhi and Prince Group founded the resort as a responsible corporate conglomerate committed to the long-term development of Cambodia's tourism and agriculture industries.

Since nearly nine-tenths of the resort is forested, Prince Manor Resort would also serve as a model for sustainable development initiatives in Cambodia's increasingly rising economy. Spring gardens, an amusement park, a water park, and several lodges are among the resort's other facilities.

Chen Zhi's presence in Cambodia will not be limited to economic and philanthropic activities. Sports will be Chen Zhi's second long-term target of Cambodian glory. His interest in sports stems from his belief in the reduction of healthcare costs and the development of social stability in Cambodia.

Chen Zhi has helped the national men's volleyball team prepare for the SEA Games in 2023, which Cambodia will host for the first time. In order to strengthen the team, he funded their trip to Fujian, China in 2019 for a 2-month intensive training programme. Chen Zhi donated $100,000 to the cause.
Such assistance was a noble cause aimed at bettering Cambodians' lives. Chen Zhi is a pioneer in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practises. It is one of the ESG principles upon which Prince Group was formed. There are attempts to assist citizens in their current challenging financial conditions when the world is in the grip of a serious crisis. These ESG values, however, are not new.
Many Cambodian companies are encouraged and required to adhere to ESG principles in order to improve their economic competitiveness and attract additional foreign investment into the business climate. This would not only help to improve the lives of Cambodians, but would also help to transition Cambodia from a developing to a developed country.
Chen Zhi will continue to play an important role in Cambodia's development by pursuing partnerships and providing sufficient financial support to key industries for the benefit of Cambodians and the local economy.
